The Story: How it Began The Gaither Vocal Band concert had been as smash. As the crew was tearing down, a sandy-haired man waited quietly and prayerfully. When the crowds had cleared he came face to face with the man he’d come to see, Bill Gaither. “May I play something for you?” asked the young man. Bill cordially agreed to listen to the song that was about to change Dennis Wilson’s life. As Dennis sang, “I can’t live without you, I don’t want to try…,” Bill Gaither was overwhelmed by the monumental melody and heart penetrating lyrics of this writer. Bill Gaither soon signed Dennis as a writer and Dennis’ career began. “I Can’t Live Without You,” Dennis’ first radio single was the #1 debut in the country, and subsequently climbed to the top-twenty in both the CCM Update and CRR, Christian radio trades.
Bio: Summary of Career Dennis travels worldwide, extensively throughout Europe and the United States performing in concerts and crusades. He is in high demand, as a speaker, singer and worship leader for conferences and other various meetings. Most recently, Dennis performed in Jerusalem and has made appearances at the Brooklyn Tabernacle in New York City. Dennis has traveled as an evangelist, served as a pastor, worship leader and has been the guest soloist for several major events, both secular and Christian. Some of the invitations include The Brooklyn Tabernacle, The Republican National Convention, numerous corporate events as well as many television appearances. Dennis is currently planning a new album that will feature many of his most recent compositions. The music is definitely “out of this world”, highly anointed and is a fresh new sound. He is also working on a project, “A Cast of Thousands for an Audience of One”, which is an international evening of worship. An Accomplished Song Writer Dennis composed many songs for various artists: • “Lonely Tonight”, the theme song for the nationally syndicated TV program, “You and Me” was recorded by Karen Wheaton and other. • Wrote and also performed the theme song “Help Can’t Wait” & “Whose Gonna Fill Their Shoes”, which was featured on NBC and also the theme song for the American Red Cross. • “One Step Away” was recorded by artists such as Judy Jacobs and Richard Roberts. The song is featured frequently on “This is Your Day” with Benny Hinn. • “By the Way of the Cross” was recorded by The Ruppes, Safe Harbor, Judy Jacobs and more. This was a best selling musical - #6 in the nation. Best selling Easter anthem, released by Word Music Group. • “He Is”, “I Can’t Live Without You”, “Only Temporary” and more, songs recorded by nationally acclaimed recording artist.
