INTRODUCTION Lincolnshire County Council currently provides a core ICT service to educational establishments in Lincolnshire; the LSN. Mouchel is LCC’s Strategic ICT Partner and provides the underlying ICT skills and expertise to facilitate the current LSN service. Beyond the life of the LSN, Mouchel intends to leverage its significant skills, knowledge and expertise to provide it’s own, 21st Century ICT education platform to the people of Lincolnshire. Our intention is to provide a solution that gives our customers; greater choice; reduced risk; transformation at a pace that suits you; and with minimal cost of change
BACKGROUND Mouchel has supported, maintained and implemented Core Services for LCC since its conception in 1999. We perform essential property and facilities services to over 3000 education establishments nationwide. We produce over 1.3 million payslips annually and manage over 100,000 staff records. We provide specialist HR and financial accountancy services to establishments ranging from Nursery Schools up to Local Authorities. We process over 8,000 CRB checks each year. We are on the majority of the national educational frameworks, including the ‘National College Leadership and Training Framework’ , the ‘DfE Academy Frameworks for Project Management and Education Support’ and the ‘Department for Education ICT Service Framework’ as an accredited supplier of ICT services. We have successfully supported the establishment of over 75 Academies and Free Schools. We worked on the design and delivery of the National Healthy Schools Programme, supporting its implementation across 23,000 schools. Over 6 million children and young people now attend a Healthy School. As Mouchel Technology Group, Mouchel have resource, knowledge and experience of the education sector throughout the UK

AVAILABILITY • High Availability • The infrastructure to deliver core services has been designed wherever possible to eliminate single points of failure, employing virtualised systems, clustering and load balancing as appropriate. • All systems are backed up using CommVault Simpana • Mouchel employs an ISO9001-accredited service and change management process • Disaster Recovery • Mouchel has a national ICT presence with Mouchel Technology Group professionals being located at several national offices. • Mouchel operates systems in a number of data centres in the UK, from Tier 1 to Tier 4 classification. • All backups follow best practice with regard to storage of offsite media and/or replicated data.
CONCLUSION Mouchel intends to continue to deliver the same services to schools as they presently receive and more importantly, to do so in a manner that minimises or even eliminates the need for any changes at each school. This will minimise need for technical changes at schools, as well as the need for staff to re-learn a new package. Mouchel will also aim to work closely with schools to evolve the existing service portfolio to meet changing requirements and to offer new services
