PROJECT: ELECTRIC VEHICLE ROADMAPREPORTING PERIOD : 1/8/2013 – 31/8/2013 Project Brief/Summary • Towards establishing Malaysia as the global EV hub through capturing the regional market for EV manufacturing, financing, and support solutions • EV Roadmap to outline the path towards achieving 10% EV by 2020 Objectives • To develop a Comprehensive EV Industry Roadmap charting the growth of the EV industry towards regional leadership position • To continue with EV awareness and promotion programs, focussing primarily on government stakeholders • To embark on EV bus and EV motorcycle programs • To develop EV Technology Centers of Excellence (COEs) at local universities and research institutions • Project Fund: RM 600,000 • Duration: 1 Jan 2013 – 31 Dec 2013 • Expected Outcomes • National Electric Vehicle Roadmap by December 2013 • Status • Roadmap is 46% completed

PROJECT: ELECTRIC VEHICLE ROADMAPREPORTING PERIOD : 1/8/2013 – 31/8/2013 Activities Completed (During reporting period) • Review of UNECE R100 (23-25 Aug) • Review improvements in Building Code (23-25 Aug) • EV media event – flag-off balikraya (1 Aug) • EV Country Casebook: KIVed until after EV Melaka drive event (30 Aug) • EV detailed scoping for industry blueprint completed (26-30 Aug) • EV incentives : Sustainable Mobility Fund paper for MTHPI (19-23 Aug) • Industry / market review in progress (14-16 Aug) • EV KL-Melaka run plan in progress (28-30 Aug) % completed: 46% % funds utilised: 51% • Activities Planned (For next reporting period) • To continue review of UNECE R100 (23-25 Sep) • To continue review and propose improvements in Building Code (23-25 Sep) • EV incentives : Sustainable Mobility Fund paper for MTHPI (19-23 Aug) • Conduct industry / market review (14-16 Sep) • Identify collaborator for social and economic analysis related to EV (26-30 Sep) • Preparation for EV KL-Melaka run (28-30 Sep)
