Chidley North Residence Hall Funding Source – Self-Liquidating General Information Project Budget: $30,000,000 Designer: Lord Aeck & Sargent Contractor: TBD Scope of Work: The project will involve major improvements to the Chidley Residence Hall Complex. The Annex will be demolished and replaced with a 125,000 ft² suite-style Residence Hall. The rooms in Chidley Main will be renovated to a traditional style. The new 520 bed Residence Hall will be constructed utilizing the Ben Ruffin Residence Hall as the basis for its design with the addition of a fourth floor. Renovations to Chidley Main will include the restoration of the west entrance and lobby facing campus and incorporation of meeting and activity rooms on the lower level. Current Status: In Design – DD Submittal
New Parking Deck Funding Source – Self-Liquidating General Information Project Budget: $15,000,000 Designer: Neighboring Concepts Contractor: TBD Scope of Work: Construction of a 750 space multi-story parking deck with a Campus Police Substation. This project is part of Phase 1 of NCCU’s recently adopted Master Plan. The proposed deck will be built on the site of the Latham Residence Hall, which is slated to be demolished. The facility will also contain 10,000 ft2 of Retail Space. The University Bookstore is one of the projected retail outlets that may potentially occupy space in the facility. Current Status: - In Design - DD
New School of Nursing Funding Source – General Fund and COPS General Information Project Budget: $25,000,000 Designer: BBH Design Contractor: TBD Scope of Work: Design and construction of a 65,000 ft² School of Nursing building to be located on the east side of campus between the Turner Law building, the temporary cafeteria, and Alston Avenue. The building will include classrooms, laboratories, office space, common areas, and infrastructure. Current Status: In Design – DD Submittal

RFP Submittal – Items of Note • Location of RFP: http://ariel.acc.nccu.edu/bond/NursingSchool_HomePage.htm. • No printed copies available. • Any amendments will be posted on web site. • RFPs due by 7/31/2009 at 2:00 p.m. to the attention of Mr. Tim McMullen. • Selection during the week of September 21st. • CD with five (5) copies of submittal limited to 75 pages. • Reference SCO ID# 70720301 and title of project on title page of submittal. • Direct all questions prior to submittal to Eric Frazier at efrazier@nccu.edu.
RFP Submittal – Items of Note • All submittals will be reviewed by a selection committee • Submittal criteria on page 5. • Evaluation criteria and procedures on pages 15 and 16. • Oral presentations are required of down-selected firms. • HUB Participation of 10%
