Coalition of Sailors Against Destructive Decisions Program Information Sheet Month: March 2013 Topic: Motorcycle Safety Point of Contact: Naval Safety Center http://safetycenter.navy.mil/ Topic Discussion: Many Sailors own motorcycles as modes of transportation. Unfortunately not all of these Sailors know the proper safety precautions to take in order to safely operate a motorcycle and prevent motorcycle related accidents. Throughout this month CSADD chapters are encouraged to provide this critical safety information to current motorcycle operators and potential motorcycle operators at their command.

USN Training Curriculum LEVEL 1: BRC • Required for all motorcycle riders prior to operating • Does not expire as a pre-requisite • Provided within 30 days of request LEVEL 2: ARC / MSRC / BRC-2 • ARC or BRC-2 Required for Non-sport-bikes • MSRC or ARC Required for Sport bikes • Take within 60 days USN LEVEL 3: All / Track / Approved Options • For 3-year Refresher Training • Any of the approved Training meet criterion • Advanced Training Options approved by USN Additional requirements can be found in OPNAVINST 5100.12J Traffic Safety NSC42
