  2. Ingredients • ¼ cup Flour • 3 T Salt • 1 tsp Cream of Tartar • 1 tsp Oil • ¼ cup water • Few Drops Food Coloring

  3. Procedure • Mix dry ingredients in a container • Mix wet ingredients in a separate container and bring to a boil • Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients • Mix well and knead by hand • Repeat with second color • Store in a ziplock bag • Answer the following questions

  4. Questions • Identify the physical state of each ingredient • Identify the physical state of the final product • Was this a chemical change or a physical change. What could you do to reverse this change? • What did you produce? (element, compound, mixture, solution, etc) • What role do you think the temperature of the water had to play in this process
