1. SEwiNG WITH CHILDREN The class provides a fun, safe, non-critical environment for children when learning the basic principles of sewing. The lessons provide a variety of learning techniques from the parts of the sewing machine, stitching, pressing, survival sewing, pattern making, construction, to a field trip to the fabric stores to learn about textiles. Taught by Desi Nelson, seamstress and fashion designer for over 36 years. Classes are held at Mrs. Nelson’s home studio at 81 Dogwood, Carson, near grade school and middle school. Class Schedule: Wednesdays Class Time: 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. Class Dates: Classes begin September 26, 2012 (No classes October 3, Week of Thanksgiving and December 17, 2012 – January 4, 2013) Classes resume January 8, 2013.
