  3. Strategy • Make Inferences and Analyze • -Makin inferences is using story clues and prior knowledge to make logical decisions about story events and characters’ actions that are not directly stated.

  4. Skill • Fact and Opinion • -You should think about what you have read in order to determine if the statement can be proved true (a fact), or if it is a statement of personal belief (an opinion).

  5. Spectators: Definition : people who observe . The spectators cheered for their team.

  6. Demonstration: Definition:something that provides clearly in explaining or showing of. sentance: It’s a thrill when scientists prove a new theory in a demonstration.

  7. Prominent: Definition: well known or important. Sentence: Mr. Ellis and Mr. Talbot are prominent community leaders.

  8. Luxury: Something that adds to someone’s comfort or pleasure but is not really necessary. A yacht is a luxury that most of us cannot afford.

  9. Prevail: Sentence: Colds still prevail in our school in the winter. Definition: To be greater in power or influence.
