2017/18 achievements • Lung Allocation Policy – introduction of priority tiers for super urgent, urgent, paediatric recipients and small adults • Introduction of group offering – halving the time spent on cardiothoracic offering • The launch of the ODT Hub (Hub Operations and Hub Information Services) • Cardiothoracic offering becomes responsibility of Hub Operations • Live Super Urgent Liver list • Live Liver Waiting list held at NHSBT • One national number for organ donation referrals – 03000 203040 • National Liver Offering Scheme going live the week of 19th March • Liver offering becomes Hub Operations responsibility from this date.
2018/19 ambitions • Further development of Customer Relationship Management CRM platform • Monitoring of the organ donation referral line – possible enhancement of service • Implementation of intuitive digital referral process as part of donor path. • New kidney and pancreas allocation policy and process • Development and introduction of electronic HTA A and B forms • Interactive organ allocation tool with visual management for Hub Operations – this will allow organ offers to flash red when they are at 45 minutes. • Visual management for SNODs – both geographically and at what stage of the donation process they are at
2018/19 Hub Operation Development • Extra staff – from 4 on shift to 6 by April 2018 • Case management – giving greater oversight and a better service • Development of Hub Operations staff • Increased collaboration with donation and recipient colleagues • DCD heart allocation • Organs for research • Retrieval Teams allocation and deployment (average time 10 hours and I have a goal to reduce this to 5 hours)
