3 Priorities – Established by OSEP • Ensure FAPE in the LRE • Exercise general supervisory authority • Ensure no disproportionate representation as a result of inappropriate identification

Targets – Established by Stakeholders • Targets are used to measure annual performance • Districts not meeting targets are required to report improvement activities in their Local Performance Plan (LPP)
Sampling Indicators 7, 8, 14 • Each year approximately 88 districts are selected to participate in the data collection activities associated with the sampling indicators. • Refer to the Self-Assessment of Procedural Compliance Cycle posted on the DPI website to determine when your district is included in the samples for Indicators 7, 8, and 14. • http://www.dpi.wi.gov/sped/spp-selfassmt.html
Annual Performance Report (APR) • Due February 1 • Report on progress on each indicator • OSEP reviews to determine if the state is meeting the requirements of IDEA
LEA Data Profile • Posted on DPI website • Able to compare LEA performance with state targets
Local Performance Plan (LPP) • Required by IDEA 2004 (Sec. 613) • Consists of: • Assurances – required of all LEAs • IDEA Budget – required of all LEAs • Due July 1: Assurances & IDEA Budget • Improvement activities required if below indicator target in SPP
