Translational rules • LOINC acronyms and abbreviations: • Italian equivalent acronym/abbreviation, if available e.g. CSF  LCS • Full form in Italian e.g. BPU  Unità di prodotto sangue • English acronym/abbreviation, if it is used in Italy e.g. GnRH, Ab, DNA, HIV • LOINC acronym/abbreviation and its explanation (PROPERTY) • Latin names • only post and pre are ‘translated’ in Italian in the Synonyms field Public Laboratory LOINC Workshop & Committee Meeting - Regenstrief Institute, Indianapolis - June 6-7, 2011
