MP3 report – week 21-22 20/5/2010 – 02/06/2010 MP3/QPS team in CCC LMC: June 3rd 2010
Average of 2.5 interventions / 24 hoursUpdated 02/06/2010 19h00 LMC: June 3rd 2010
Week 22. • RCBXH1.R2 => Trip during the night. Known issue related to zero crossing; work in progress to introduce corrective actions. • RB.A34 => QPS not ok due to water flow problem LMC: June 3rd 2010
Week 22 – QPS Boards change in 67. • New QPS boards were installed in the sector, tests performed to validate: • 2KA at 7A/s • 4KA at 7A/s • 2KA at 10 A/s • 6KA at 10 A/s All test were successful! LMC: June 3rd 2010
Week 22 – QPS Boards change in 67. LMC: June 3rd 2010
Week 22 – • QPS communication was lost in sector 78; at inj. Level. Power cycle needed before ramping • 25 correctors tripped due to orbit feedback • Trip of RQTD.A81B2; Trip (and beams were lost). Water fault problem • RD2.R8 => PC fault caused trip of the circuit • RB.A81 => tripped twice: The task to reset the nQPS crate starts while calibration is still ongoing. Problem solved by implemented bugfix • RD2.R8 => PC fault, access needed • Sector 6-7 => Trip due to a nQPS (noisy) card (had to be changed) LMC: June 3rd 2010
Week 22 – • Trip of sector 6-7 (happened twice) due to nQPS on RQF; threshold exceeded on B15L7 due to unknown noise.. LMC: June 3rd 2010
Week 22 – • RQ10.L2B2 => Trip due to noise picked by QPS • RCBH34.L7B1 => Trip due to DCCT fault LMC: June 3rd 2010
28th of May : 18kV/66kV drop LHC was ramping down (I_RB ≈ 5800 A) As a consequence, all circuits tripped (FPA at 2A/s for the mains) • RB.A45 (MB.B21R4) : heater discharge • RB.A81(MB.C32L1) : heater discharge • MQ.25L1 : Only 1 of 2 heaters fired LMC: 3rd of June 2010
