Diarrhea • Watery stools • Food rushed through large intestine before water can be absorbed • May be due to a variety of reasons like bacteria infection • Loss of fluids and electrolytes may cause dehydration
Constipation • Food residue remains in the large intestine too long • Too much water is absorbed • Difficult stool • May result from lack of fiber or diet problems or failure to “heed the call”
