  2. 1. Release the string. Position the flange at the length determined by the sound Position blue flange at the sounded length

  3. 2. Insert the IUD and tube until the flange is flush with the cervical os

  4. 3. Remove the tube carefully, watching the string, so the IUD remains at the fundus. Cut string about 2 cm from cervix.
