Bankruptcy (Overspending on HSE) Catastrophe (No focus on HSE) Operating Limits Running a Business is “steering a boat With out hitting either bank”.
Brief about ISP • History of ISP can be stated as the history of MODERN INDIAN STEEL MAKING way from 1865. • We were one of the first to start commercial steel production and today we stand as one of the technologically advanced plant of the world. • From 0.3MTPA to 2.5MPTA this journey has taught a lot about the importance of SAFETY,HEALTH & WELFARE aspects of the industry.
During the project stages due to lack of basic infrastructural facilities injury cases within the plant were significantly high.
Transformation @ISP • To improve these statistics we initiated an all round approach to cover all aspects of the picture. • This included : • Awareness generation through Training, Education & Communication. • Motivation through rewards, counselling & punishment. • Development and Enforcement of systems ,rules and procedures • Participative Management. • Management Commitment and support.
