SOCIAL COMMITMENT • 72% of the Indian population is in rural areas and 26% lives below poverty line. • 89.81% of the post offices are in rural areas. India post is actively involved in MGNREGS which is one of the most important povert alleviation programme of Government of India. • A Post office serves 21.21 Sq. km. covering 7176 people on an average
