ERCOT CommentsTNT Transition Plan Ray Giuliani TAC Meeting October 6, 2005
Success Factors • Want interaction with Market Participants on requirements, conceptual design, detail design, testing, and readiness criteria • Want to accurately implement the Protocols • See the Market Participants as an expert on the Protocols • Want Market Participants to approve requirements documents • Want Market Participants to be proactive during the design phase
Success Factors • Assume a task force with segment voting is necessary to approve requirements documents and other decisions that require a formal vote • After requirements are approved, we are suggesting ERCOT form Market Coordination Teams (MCT) consisting of key Market Participant business and technical experts to work with during design and testing. We expect many of the MP team members will be involved in implementing the interfaces with ERCOT at their companies. • Each MCT would review and comment on conceptual and detail designs, develop Readiness Criteria, MP Test scenarios, and certify market readiness.
Success Factors • Propose to use the MCT for all design phases and expect co-location during critical design activities • Would like to do some joint application or rapid application development
