Context Clues • Definition- The unknown word is defined with in the sentence or paragraph. • Ex. After complaining about his new job for two long months and being generally unhappy, the disgruntled employee was finally fired by his manager. • A. overworked • B. tired • C. selfish • D. discontented
Context clues • Example- an example before or after the word suggest the word's meaning. • Ex. Paul surmised that his ex-girl friend wanted to resume their relationship when he heard that she had been asking about him.
