  3. Testing Out: TOEFL • Level 2 = 400 • Level 3 = 450 • Level 4 = 475 • University Entrance = TOEFL 500 / TOEFL iBT 61 SS-3-10

  4. Testing Out: IELTS University Entrance Now = Average 5.5 across all 4 skills SS-3-10

  5. What will I study? • Reading/Writing/Project = 12 hours • Listening/Speaking = 6 hours • Grammar = 2 hours SS-3-10

  6. Assessment • Exams = 60% • Class work = 40% • 2 Exams: Mid-Term & Final SS-3-10

  7. Class Work Assessment • Writing = 4 assignments for the portfolio • Reading = 2 Reading projects + 2 quizzes + 2 vocabulary tests • Speaking = presentation + role play/interview • Listening = 2 quizzes + 2 vocabulary tests • Grammar = 2 quizzes SS-3-10

  8. Grading • A 90 - 100% • B+ 85 - 89% • B 80 - 84% • C+ 75 - 79% • C 70 - 74% • D+ 65 - 69% • D 60 – 64% • F 0 - 59% • Pass = 60% SS-3-10
