Meet Molly Molly loves to run around in the park
Molly goes to a kinder for children who take a bit longer to learn things. The teachers there spend lots of time helping her to get ready for school.

What do all these children have in common? Even though they are all very different… They all have something called Down syndrome. They were born with Down syndrome.

Children with Down syndrome may not speak quite the same as you and they may take longer to learn some things, but they are very much the same as you.
Friendship Everyone needs friends. Do you have a friend with a disability like Down syndrome? If you do then you should treat them the same as your other friends.
Sometimes you may need to help your friend, but mostly they will like to give things a try without help first. You should encourage them to try to do things for themselves. Everyone likes to have a go and try things.
People with Down syndrome may look a bit different and may take a little longer to learn some things but...
