  3. Marlow in Domesday • Queen Matilda holds Marlow. It answers for 15 hides. Land for 26 ploughs; in lordship 5 hides; 2 ploughs there. 35 villagers with 23 smallholders have 24 ploughs. 1 slave; 1 mill at 20s; meadow for 26 ploughs; woodland, 1,000 pigs; from 1 fishery 1,000 eels. Total value £25; when acquired £10; as much before 1066. Earl Algar held this manor.

  4. Little Marlow in Domesday • In [Little] Marlow Theodwald holds 5 hides from the Bishop [of Bayeux]. Land for 4 ploughs; in lordship 1 1/2 hides; 1 1/2 ploughs there. 6 villagers with 4 smallholders have 2 1/2 ploughs. 1 slave; 1 mill, 20s; from the fishery 500 eels; meadow for 2 ploughs; woodland, 50 pigs. Total value £7; when acquired £4; before 1066 as much. Queen Edith held this manor. • In [Little] Marlow Ralph and Roger hold 8 1/2 hides and 1/2 virgate from Miles [Crispin]. Land for 6 ploughs; in lordship 2. 14 villagers with 6 smallholders have 4 ploughs. 2 slaves; meadow for 6 ploughs; woodland, 200 pigs and 12d too. The value is and was 60s; before 1066 £4. Haming, a thane of King Edward's, held this land; he could sell

  5. Widmere in Domesday • In [Great] Marlow Walter [of Vernon] holds 6 hides and 1 1/2 virgates. Land for 6 ploughs; in lordship 3 1/2 hides; 2 ploughs there. 8 villagers with 6 smallholders have 2 1/2 ploughs; a further 1 1/2 ploughs possible. 1 slave; meadow for 2 ploughs. The value is and was 100s; before 1066 £4. Godric, Asgar the Constable's man, held this manor; he could sell.
