  3. Most of Europe has a temperate climate because it is near the Arctic circle it has many powerful rivers most of the land is at high elevations warm winds blow in from the ocean the temperature varies with the seasons

  4. Under feudalism, serfs were mainly responsible for working the fields protecting the vassals defending the manor praying for the lord traveling with the lord

  5. During the Middle Ages, wealth was primarily determined by how many serfs you had working for you how many knights you had working for you how many roads led to your castle how many taxes you paid the king how much land you owned

  6. Monks played an important role during the Middle Ages because they were responsible for baking all the bread people needed fighting in the crusades praying for people with the plague copying many books singing great religious songs
