Pre-Test • What safety issues should you be aware of before obtaining a career in Sports Marketing? • What is the proper attire for a Sports Marketing Rep? • What electrical equipment will you be dealing with? • Where is the closest exit?
Appropriate Clothes • Professional Slacks and Collared Shirt • Neat, Ironed, Tucked-In Look • Sturdy, Comfortable Shoes
Safety Equipment • As for safety equipment, there is a need to keep yourself aware of your surroundings at all times. • You never know what can be left around an office, and you must be aware of how to use precautionary equipment.
You will working around a computer most of your day. Make sure that there are not too many circuits all going to the same outlet. Electrical Possibilities
Floor Plan • The office will be broken down into many departments. • The marketing department will all work together.
Angry/Threatening Clients • Sometimes your clients don’t see your ideas in the same light that you do. • Remember that without these clients your job will not exist • Keep your clients happy
Possible Injuries on the Job • Carpel Tunnel Syndrome • Anxiety Attacks • Slip and fall • Stiff bones
REPORTING AN INJURY? • Report any injury to the employer (internship sponsor) • Report any injury to your teacher and work-based learning coordinator • Report any injury to your parents • Put the notice in writing and fill out any paperwork given to you for insurance claims
Post Test, Continued • Where is the closest exit? • Who do you report an injury to? • Does the school need to know? • What are some possible injuries? • How do you handle angry clients?
