Concrete Although the formula has changed over the many years, Romans were the first inventors of concrete. Some of their structures that were built with concrete over 2000 years ago are still standing today. Before the Romans made their formula of concrete many civilisations before their time had tried to create it, but had not been as well made.
Days of the Week You wouldn’t believe it but the ancient Romans also invented the days of the Week. Monday is the day of the Moon and Saturday was the God of Saturn. The other Days in the week have to be translated from Latin; Tuesday is Martedi’ (Mars Day), Wednesday is Mercoledi’ (Mercury Day), Thursday was named after Jupiter, (Giovedi’) and Friday (Venerdi) is Venus day.
