Political IdeologyPower to the PeopleIndividual rights protected Limits on Government Power/Higher Law Democracy Republic A form of government with elected representatives (people chose/voted for them) and an Elected leaders (such as a president) rather than a king or queen. • A form of government in which people choose leaders by voting.

  4. Economic IdeologyCapitalism A way of organizing an economy so that the things that are used to make and transport products (such as land, oil, factories, ships, etc…) are owned by individual people and companies. Free Enterprise/Business Competition The United States is a capitalist society.

Community needs over individual needs Socialism Communism Workers overthrow ruling class A way of organizing a society in which the government (workers)owns the things that are used to make and transport products (such as land, oil, factories, ships, etc…) and there is NO privately owned property. All religion abolished • A way of organizing a society (economically)in which major industries are owned and controlled by the public/worker controlled rather than by individual people and companies. • Collectivism: all people should have what they need

Air Force and required military service. • Violation of Treaty of Versailles • German people hated war-guilt clause which blamed them for WWI. • Increased Nationalism • loyalty and devotion to a nation.
