  3. Seeing the Convergence BUSINESS • 2009 Center for Creative Leadership Skills Gap Study : Leaders are not adequately prepared for the future. Today’s leadership capacity is insufficient to meet future leadership requirements. • 2009 ASTD Study: 70 percent of companies reported moderate to major leadership shortages, and many expected the problem to get worse. EDUCATION • August 2009, President Obama outlines Educational Goals for Community Colleges and sets graduation goals for every state to ensure that the USA regains its role as a leader in college completion and degree attainment by 2020 (2025) • Greater emphasis placed on Student Success, Persistence, and Academic Attainment. All require a higher level leadership skill.

What is it and What’s in it for Me? • The curriculum, based on the foundational Blanchard Situational Leadership model, consists of 8 modules given over 2 Friday sessions running from 9 AM to 3 PM with approximately a 30 minute lunch break. • Instructors must go through a Train the Trainer session which is given over 2 and ½ days with the final half day strictly devoted to teach back sessions so instructors can demonstrate proficiency in providing these modules to students. • Faculty & Staff Instructors receive a world renowned Ken Blanchard Certificate valued at over $3400 • Students receive a Ken Blanchard Certificate valued at over $1300.
