Facts • The marsh is mostly used for Market Farming • Without human impact, the Holland marsh would have little fertility • Crops reflect the waves of immigration into Canada • Now is mostly corporately owned • Also known as “Ontario’s salad bowl”
The Holland Marsh generates hundreds of millions of dollars worth of vegetables annually
Consequences • This new gas-fire generator would be very inefficient • Could leak out chemicals • Might destroy the marsh
The Solution Stop the plant from being built
