Stuff can happen between now and Proposal Presentations • A meteor struck my computer while I was typing the intent to present letter and I missed the E2 deadline. Can I still post this morning? • My husband and I submitted a letter of intent to present. We are now divorced. Can we both present separately? • I posted my intent to present letter but after more careful review of the TGn procedure and documents I do not understand items a,b,c …. • I decide to submit whatever I wanted. I’ll ask for foregiveness later. • I’ll miss the deadlines if I have to wait for the next TGn session? How can I get these questions resolved quickly? • I posted my proposal to the server prior to deadline E3 as required. • Can I post a modification, correction, extension to my proposal after deadline E3? • We continued to enhance the proposal after the deadline. How to handle stuff that happens prior to Proposal Presentations? • Cannot wait for TGn to be in session • FRCC disbanded • Need a basic set of guidelines Proposal: • Prepare this week, answers to what-ifs/ FAQs with 75% approval. • Need a mechanism for dealing with other special events Proposal: • Create special committee to convene, ad hoc, at request of TGn chair to deal with special events • Members: TGn leadership, .11 WG leadership • 75% agreement to responses required Bruce Kraemer, Conexant
How to Organize going Forward? • Vice chair and Technical editor • TGn vote taken in Singapore (Sept ‘03) approving election of Vice Chair and Technical editor • Agreed with WG chair to postpone elections until FRCC work completed and subcommittees disbanded and sufficient work to justify position • Proposal: Elect tech ed May ; elect VC when justified • Reuse election procedure –tune for TGn • Broader issue is how to conduct work most effectively within TGn and with WG chair? • What internal organization structure best suits our needs? • Assistant editors?
