  3. PROJECT PURPOSE • Widen roadway and improve condition of pavement • Improve pedestrian access, movement and safety • Address residential flooding problems • Improve water quality of Rosewood Branch

DESIGN ELEMENTS • Reconstruction/widening of SE 12th Street • Addition of curb & gutter and storm drain system • Sidewalk and ADA-compliant ramps • Paved driveway entrances • Parking reconfiguration in commercial area • Construction of stormwater pond • Rosewood Branch stream bank stabilization

CONSTRUCTION GOALS • Minimize disruptions to residents and businesses • Keep all impacts within City right-of-way • Grading for sidewalk • Driveway entrance tie-ins • Maintain one lane of traffic at all times during construction • Road to be closed to through traffic • Access for local residents only • Maintain access to all residential/commercial driveways/entrances • Complete construction as quickly as possible
