Travel outside the program – must inform director Zero alcohol abuse & drug use policy Local laws & behavior – violations can result in harsher penalties not just failing/leaving program Common sense/Street smarts: be conscientious! ESPECIALLY nightlife, money/ATMs, traveling, passport and personal belongings & DRINKING – decision making, unfamiliar country WHAT TO DO IN AN EMERGENCY Know your emergency numbers Report to Director and Police NYU files a report with Public Safety SAFETY • #1 TIP: • TAKE RESPONSIBILITY • FOR YOURSELF

ACADEMICS What is the Australian Film Television and Radio School? • AFTRS is Australia's national screen arts & broadcast school • Founded in 1973 as part of a Government strategy to revive the Australian film industry • Programs at AFTRS: 3D Animation, Animation Directing, Cinematography, Art Direction, Camera Assistant, Commercial Radio, Costume Design, Documentary, Directing, Editing, Multi Platform Content, Producing, Production Design, Screen Culture, Screen Music, Screenwriting, Sound, Screen Business, Radio Broadcasting, Visual Effects • School will be in session while you are there • Beautiful facilities • Provided with temp. laptop containing Final Cut Pro, Celtics, & Adobe Suite, along with any necessary texts & firewire to keep
