Camp Erdman • G5 YMCA Camp Erdman - Possible 3 days/2 nights. Environmental Education, Team Building. There will be boys and girls cabins, restrooms, pool, and shower facilities. The dates are Monday – Wednesday, November 19-21, 2018, the 3 days before Thanksgiving Weekend. The cost will be $160.00 which will include the student program, bus transportation, and pro-rated chaperone costs. All camp and school permission forms, and monies will beDUE by Friday, September 21, 2018. Limited parking is available for adult chaperones, and carpooling is suggested. ALL students need to ride the bus. Some chaperones will also need to ride the bus.
Parent Chaperones • Parent Chaperones are needed to serve in a supervisory capacity; and exhibit IB qualities including being Principled, Communicators, Open-minded, Respectful and Caring to ALL of our participants, students, teachers, chaperones, and Camp Erdman staff. We all need to understand the roles and responsibilities of being a camp chaperone. Chaperone selections are based on….
Safety 1st • Safety is our 1st Priority. The ability to encourage, make safe, and deal with safety situations for ALL participants: This includes Respecting, Cooperating, being Principled and Caring for others. All HES Participants are expected to demonstrate the IB Learner Profiles, Attitudes, and Transdisciplinary Skills. • Selections are first based on Students with needs, and their accommodations • Enrollment and ratio of Girls vs. Boys (more Moms or more Dads) • Chaperones of the same gender (ie: Daughter and Mom, Father & Son) • Chaperones with a specific skill set (ie; a nurse, a doctor) • Amount of Cabins, and ratio of students per Chaperones. • ALL Chaperones must meet the time requirements, “Be there the entire time. Assist teachers, students, camp staff and supervise. ALL HES Participants must follow school code of conduct, and abide by Chapter 19 rules. • Your Classroom teachers will make the final selection.
