Why do we care? A home Search involving three visits with a distance of 200 miles between home and host city would leave a carbon footprint of 410kg – the same amount of emissions produced by two months worth of electricity by a UK family of four. Air travel as result of international relocations are also one of the major producers of carbon emissions: • Flight from London Heathrow to Telluride Texas for four passengers travelling 4869 miles would create 4.45 tons of carbon emissions. • Mumbai, India to London Gatwick – London Gatwick for 2 people travelling 4468 miles would produce 2.02 tons of carbon. • From Manchester international airport to Hong Kong international airport for three travelling 985 miles, would create 4.21 tons of CO2.
