Prepare for Finals and Mid Terms Early • Contact the Testing Center and schedule your tests early for these High Use Periods • Have your tests and information sheets to the Testing Center two weeks early or as early as possible. • When you are preparing your test please keep the length of your test less than 2 hours. • Inform your students they will be taking the test in the Testing Center along with the opening and closing dates and closing time.

  3. Class Administered (Batch) Tests • Pick up your blue bubble sheets from the Testing Center. • Administer the test in your classroom. • Bring the test key and the bubble sheets to the Test Center to get them scored. • Fill out a Batch Test Information Sheet. • Make sure that your students have their last names and I-Number bubbled in or they will not be able to get a score.

  4. Answer Sheets are Scored by Machine. Make all Marks HEAVY and BLACK. Fill in each oval completely without extending your marks outside of the lines. Stray Marks, Smudges, or Errors NOTCAREFULLY and CLEANLYERASEDcan affect the scoring or your answer document. For your test score to be recorded you MUSTBubble in a Complete, Valid, Unique ID in the field Labeled IDENTIFICATION. (I-Number)

Faculty Score Report Options • Alphabetized Raw and % Scores • There is no permanent record of the scores and the report does not divide into sections. • Merge; Keep scores in Computer • There is a permanent record on the Scout system which can be rescored and reprinted. Reports are divided into alphabetized sections. Student and faculty scores are available for viewing on our Web pages.

  7. To Merge or Not to Merge • The Testing Center advises that you always MERGE your Batch test scores. • It takes no more time • The only requirement is that students bubble in a valid, Unique ID. (I-Number) • Mistakes can be made. • A stored score gives you and the student proof of score and it allows adjustments for question and scoring mistakes.
