  1. Joint Programme Steering Committee What is it? A high-level oversight governance body guided by the countries’ commitment to the MoU; It is an advisory board that champion the MoU and advocates for its successful implementation. What is it NOT? An implementing body, that deals with the day to day management of the Joint Programme

  2. Joint Programme Steering Committee… What is are the main Roles? To provide strategic guidance to the implementation of the programme; Provide guidance/guidelines on: Resource mobilization, utilization and management; M&E of the joint programme To oversee that the Joint Programme remains on track vis-à-vis its objectives, approved work plans;

  3. Joint Programme Steering Committee… What is (are) NOT the Role(s)? While the project Steering Committee has an important quality assurance and strategic guidance function, it is not aimed at detailed technical oversight and day to day management and operations.

  4. JPSC Composition Membership… Directors – DVS, DAR JPMCU Chair shall be the secretary of the JPSC; IGAD/ICPALD Coordinator Development Partners representatives Community members
