  18. WP2 T2.2 Strategy • Is described in the project technical annex: • However when the TA was written the IGTF didn’t yet existed • Therefore we specified: • That we would adhere to the EUgridPMA • That we would setup several CAs to cover the project needs • Strategy: • Short term (for the immediate needs): • Use the existing catchall CA from CNRS • This is a temporary solution • By the end of the year we need a better solution working • Medium term: • Adhere and use the IGTF common trust domain • Get in touch with EUgridPMA (where some of the project partners are CA representatives) and The Americas PMA and make them aware of our needs • Establish new CAs in LA: • one per country • using the classic CA profile • Ask for the help of the PMAs in the setup and accreditation of the CAs • Join the TAGPMA Rio de Janeiro, TAGPMA, 2006.03.28

  19. WP2 T2.2 Candidate CAs • Argentina • UNLP - Universidad Nacional de La Plata • Javier Diaz • Brazil • UFF – Universidade Federal Fluminense • Vinod Rebello • Chile • REUNA – Red Universitaria Nacional • Juan Carlos Martinez • **Cuba • CUBAENERGIA - Centro de Gestión de la Información y Desarrollo de la Energía • Alejandro Hurtado Turiño • Peru • SENAMHI – Servicio Nacional de Meteorología e Hidrología del Perú • Richard Miguel • México • UNAM – Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México • Juan Carlos Guel • Venezuela • ULA – Universidad de los Andes • Vanessa Hamar Rio de Janeiro, TAGPMA, 2006.03.28

  20. WP2 T2.2 Issues • As a risk management measure it is wise to deploy a catchall CA in parallel (UFF). • This will allow the issuance of certificates in case of trouble with the deployment of the other EELA CAs • This would also allow to issue certificates to other organizations in non EELA countries if needed • The EELA VO will be like a catch-all VO. New VOs will be created when a real collaboration community (users and resources) is established (like HEP and Biomedic VOs). Rio de Janeiro, TAGPMA, 2006.03.28
