  2. Warring Truth with Humanists against Yhwh God Almighty • Lebanese PM calls air strikes 'crime against humanity‘- 19/08/06 8:33 PM • Lebanon PM deliberately avoid blaming Hezbollah. • Lebanese live side by side with Hezbollah.

  3. Hezbollah accused of war crimes • Amnesty International has accused Hezbollah of acts amounting to war crimes in the conflict with Israel. It says the Lebanese militant group deliberately targeted civilians with rockets in the 34-day war - a "serious violation of humanitarian law". - Thursday, 14 September 2006, 10:13 GMT 11:13 UK BBC News

  4. "If the Zionist crusader missionaries of hate and counter-Islam consultants like … the crusader-in-chief George W. Bush were to abandon their unbelief and repent and enter into the light of Islam and turn their swords against the enemies of God, it would be accepted of them and they would be our brothers in Islam," Californian Adam Yahiye Gadahn said in the video (which identified him as "Azzam the American"). "To Americans and the rest of Christendom we say, either repent (your) misguided ways and enter into the light of truth or keep your poison to yourself and suffer the consequences in this world and the next." • But, you know. No compulsion and all that. – Sept 2006

  5. “They hate us because we are free,” Hagee said. “They hate us because it is their religious duty to hate us. They are trained from the breast of their mother to hate us. Radical Islam is a doctrine of death. It is their desire, it is their hope, it is their ambition, it is their highest honor to die in a war against infidels. And you • are ‘infidels’ and there is nothing you can do to accommodate them. That’s what makes them so dangerous.” - 2006

  6. Hagee said the recent plot in England to blow up airliners shows how motivated radical Islamics are to kill those they consider “infidels.” Recent news reports said two of the 24 suspects were going to use their children’s baby bottles to hold explosive liquids. • “They were going to use the child’s baby bottle as a liquid bomb to destroy themselves, their children and everyone on the plane,” he said. “It was going to be mass murder on a scale of monumental proportions. It was an act of war. They are ruthless, single-minded and totally committed.”

  7. Muslims deplore Pope speech, want apology • CAIRO (Reuters) - Muslims deplored on Friday remarks on Islam by POPE BENEDICT and many of them said the Catholic leader should apologize in person to dispel the impression that he had joined a campaign against their religion. • In a speech in Germany on Tuesday, the Pope appeared to endorse a Christian view, contested by most Muslims, that the early Muslims spread their religion by violence. - September 14, 2006

  8. Muslims deplore Pope speech, want apology • CAIRO (Reuters) - The Pope on Tuesday repeated criticism of the Prophet Mohammad by the 14th century Byzantine Emperor Manuel II Palaeologus, who said everything Mohammad brought was evil "such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." • The Pope, who used the terms "jihad" and "holy war" in his lecture, added "violence is incompatible with the nature of God and the nature of the soul." • Pakistan's National Assembly, parliament's lower house, unanimously passed a resolution condemning the Pope's comments. • "This statement has hurt sentiments of the Muslims," the resolution said. "This house demands the Pope retract his remarks in the interest of harmony among different religions." • The Muslim Brotherhood, the Arab world's largest group of political Islamists, demanded an apology from the Pope and called on the governments of Islamic countries to break relations with the Vatican if he does not make one. - September 14, 2006

  9. Muslims deplore Pope speech, want apology • CAIRO (Reuters) - The Jordanian branch of the Egyptian-based movement said the Pope's remarks would only widen a rift between Muslims and the West and revealed deep hatred toward Muslims. • Sheikh Hamza Mansour, who heads the Shura Council of the Islamic Action Front, Jordan's largest opposition party, said only a personal apology could rectify the "deep insult made by the provocative comments" to over 1 billion Muslims. • And in Iraq, the Pope's comments were condemned at Friday prayers by followers of radical Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr. • Sheikh Salah al-Ubeidi, one of Sadr's aides, condemned "the offence to Islam and the character of the Prophet.“ - September 14, 2006

  10. Vatican braces for Muslim anger • Pope Benedict's critical remarks earlier in the week about jihad, or Islamic holy war, have been the subject of hostile comment in many Islamic countries. • The outrage expressed by Muslim clerics and commentators at the Pope's quotation from a 600-year-old book containing the sayings of a Christian emperor of ancient Byzantium appears to have taken Vatican officials by surprise. - David Willey BBC News, Rome - Friday, 15 September 2006, 19:37 GMT 20:37 UK • Muslims not accepting a historical record of the beginning of Islam.

  11. Vatican braces for Muslim anger • The outrage expressed by Muslim clerics and commentators at the Pope's quotation from a 600-year-old book containing the sayings of a Christian emperor of ancient Byzantium appears to have taken Vatican officials by surprise. • The emperor spoke of "the Prophet Muhammad's command 'to spread by the sword the faith he preached'". - David Willey BBC News, Rome - Friday, 15 September 2006, 19:37 GMT 20:37 UK • Muslims not accepting a historical record of the beginning of Islam.

  12. Vatican braces for Muslim anger • If the Pope had stuck to quoting Plato (which he did) to illustrate his point, he wouldn't now be in the position of, as the Muslim News put it, alienating a billion Muslims. His mistake was to cite a series of dialogues between a learned Byzantine emperor and a scholarly Persian Muslim about the truth of their respective religions, which was probably written while Constantinople was being besieged by the Turks. The emperor in question, Manuel II Paleologus, referred during the seventh dialogue to the Koran's teachings about spreading the faith by the sword. And this, said the emperor, could not come from God because violence was the opposite of reason, and God himself cannot act contrary to reason. • Benedict quoted verbatim from the emperor's words: "Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Friday, 15 September 2006 • Muslims not accepting a historical record of the beginner of Islam. Muslims worship Mohammed, and require all mankind to adopt their Islamic view.

  13. Churches attacked in West Bank, Gaza • NABLUS, West Bank — Palestinians wielding guns and firebombs attacked five churches in the West Bank and Gaza on Saturday, following remarks by Pope Benedict XVI that angered many Muslims. • No injuries were reported in the attacks, which left church doors charred and walls pockmarked with bullet holes and scorched by firebombs. Churches of various denominations were targeted. - Sep. 16, 2006. 11:36 AM - ASSOCIATED PRESS

  14. Violent reaction of Muslims unlike the West, therefore not anticipated by non-Muslim Worlds • "If the Vatican says something dumb about Muslims, people will die in parts of Africa and churches will be burned in Indonesia, let alone what happens in the Middle East.” - Father Thomas Reese, a Jesuit scholar and an authority on the workings of the Vatican, Sept 2006

  15. Since the 9/11 terror attacks on America, and the subsequent invasion of Iraq, nobody has been in any doubt about the importance of promoting a better understanding between Christianity and Islam. • The sensitivity of Muslims about their religion was made clear last year by the publication in a Danish newspaper of cartoons depicting the prophet Muhammad. • The caricatures, re-printed in a number of Western countries, caused outrage in Islamic nations, leading to riots and acts of violence. – 16 Sept 2006

  16. Added: Saturday, 16 September, 2006, 13:34 GMT 14:34 UK • Unfortunately we live in a world, where freedom of speech is curtailed, and comments are purposefully taken out of context and blown out of proportion. If violence does erupt because of this it'll only emphasize the notion that maybe Islam isn't a religion of peace. • Jason, Northampton • Recommended by 316 people

  17. Added: Saturday, 16 September, 2006, 12:43 GMT 13:43 UK • Having read a transcript of the Pope's remarks, it is easy to see that no offence was intended. Raised as a Muslim I am often saddened by other Muslims protesting based on incorrect facts, and never protesting when our religion is used as a cover for mass murder. This is another example of a lack of faith from these fanatics, true faith cannot be brought down by comments, words or pictures. I just don't understand the reasoning behind inflicting suffering and hatred, how can this be God's will? • Saj Khan, Sydney Australia • Recommended by 367 people

  18. Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached. • Added: Saturday, 16 September, 2006, 08:13 GMT 09:13 UK • The anger and violance shown over the Popes remarks just reinforces what he said. • Mrs Radcliffe, Stourbridge • Recommended by 510 people

  19. Bloodshed already- even after apology • Gunmen shot and killed an Italian nun at a children's hospital in Somalia at the weekend, and two churches were torched on the West Bank, in incidents that are being linked to the speech made by the Pope. – 18 Sept 2006

  20. Justifying violence • "There are elements in Islam that can be used to justify violence, just as there are in Christianity and Judaism," Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan William said. • "These religious faiths, because they are held by human beings who are very fallible, can be distorted in these ways and we all need to recognise that." - Sep. 18, 2006. 05:55 AM • REUTERS NEWS AGENCY

  21. Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached. • Added: Saturday, 16 September, 2006, 08:12 GMT 09:12 UK • So why do we have to tip toe all of the time and be afraid of every comment about the Muslim faith? We are a free thinking , free speech democracy and should not allow ourselves to be censored every time when it may upset the muslim world.Absolute double standards in my opinion, they (the Muslim world) find it acceptable to burn images of the Pope but any tiny little comment on their faith leads to fanatical violence. If you have faith in your belief you do not care what people think. • Rich, BFPO • Recommended by 509 people

  22. September 16, 2006By Paul L. Williams & David DastychExclusive to Canada Free Press and Northeast IntelligenceUrgent news from Abu Dawood, the newly appointed commander of the al Qaeda forces in Afghanistan:Final preparations have been made for the American Hiroshima, a major attack on the U. S.Muslims living in the United States should leave the country without further warning.

  23. The sword of Islam will blow up all of Gaza's churches • A new group called The sword of Islam contacted reporters and said it had fired gunshots at a Christian church in the Middle East during a demonstration over the comments. • We want to make it clear that if the pope does not appear on TV and apologize for his comments, we will blow up all of Gaza's churches, the group said in a report. – JVIM 20Sept 2006

  24. And now, a report in the Jerusalem Post said that Muslim religious leaders in the Gaza Strip are warning the pope that he must accept Islam if he wanted to live in peace - – JVIM 20Sept 2006

  25. War on worshippers of the cross- slit their throats, and make their money and descendants the bounty of the mujahideen • Reuters reports: al Qaeda militants in Iraq vowed war on worshippers of the cross, and protesters burned a papal effigy on Monday over Pope Benedict's comments on Islam, while Western churchmen and statesmen tried to calm passions. • “We tell the worshipper of the cross (the Pope) that you and the West will be defeated, as is the case in Iraq, Afghanistan, Chechnya,” said a Web statement by the Mujahideen Shura Council. • “We shall break the cross and spill the wine ... God will (help) Muslims to conquer Rome ... (May) God enable us to slit their throats, and make their money and descendants the bounty of the mujahideen,” said the statement, posted on Sunday on an Internet site often used by al Qaeda and other militant groups. • In Iraq's southern city of Basra, up to 150 demonstrators chanted slogans and burned a white effigy of the Pope. - JVIM 20-9-2006 • Very example of violence and lack of restraint or perseverence to gain peace.

  26. Donation for repair • The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has called on Muslims in America and around the world to help repair Palestinian churches damaged following recent controversial remarks by Pope Benedict XVI. • CAIR is urging Muslims to help repair the churches in the West Bank and Gaza by sending a donation to the Catholic Near East Welfare Association. - 21 Sept 2006 • A substantial sign that not all Muslims are the same.

  27. SHEIKH: ALL MUST CONVERT TO ISLAM • YnetNews.com reports: Pope Benedict XVI's meeting this week with a delegation of Muslim leaders and his calls for interfaith dialogue following earlier remarks about Islam are really Crusader conspiracies to subjugate the Islamic faith and force Christian-Zionist worldviews upon Muslims, a prominent Gaza Strip preacher told WorldNetDaily in an interview. • Sheikh Abu Saqer, leader of Gaza's Jihadia Salafiya Islamic outreach movement, which seeks to make secular Muslims more religious, called the pope a puppet for that Crusader George Bush. The Gaza imam said the only Christian-Muslim dialogue that is acceptable is one in which ll religions agree to convert to Islam. The call for so-called dialogue by this little racist pope is a Trojan horse with the main goal of reaching a new system in which the ideals (of Christianity) are a new ideology that will rule relations between nations and people. The dialogue he wants is dangerous, said Abu Saqer, speaking to WND from the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis. - September 28, 2006 JVIM

  28. SHEIKH: ALL MUST CONVERT TO ISLAM • YnetNews.com reports: “The pope is the spiritual and religious wing of the Crusader ideology, Abu Saqer said. e is totally coordinated with Bush. Through this dialogue he hopes to break the lines of unity between Muslims and polarize the Muslim world, which has some partisans who will accept this new dialogue. But true believers know Islam must rule all relations. The only dialogue we will accept is when all other religions agree to convert to Islam.” The pope has been drawing fire from Muslims worldwide for a speech he gave two weeks ago in which he quoted Byzantine emperor Manuel II Paleologus, who wrote, show me just what Muhammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached. The pontiff last week said he was deeply sorry for the reaction to his comments and later explained the emperor's words did not reflect how he himself felt. He said the intent of his remarks was to call for a dialogue on the role of religions in modern life. - September 28, 2006 JVIM

  29. Killing for hatred. No forgiveness • The Jerusalem Post reports: atah's al-Aksa Martyrs Brigades threatened Monday night to kill all of Hamas's leaders, including Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh as well as Hamas Politburo chief Khaled Mashaal. • In a message sent to news agencies, the group said that it considered Mashaal, Interior Minister Sayid Siam and another high-ranking member of the ministry, Yosef al-Zahar, responsible for the deaths of Palestinians killed over the last two days during Hamas-Fatah clashes. • Eleven Palestinians were killed and more than 150 were wounded in fierce clashes that erupted between supporters of Hamas and Fatah over the past 48 hours in the Gaza Strip and West Bank. • The violence, the worst of its kind since the establishment of the Palestinian Authority more than a decade ago, followed allegations by Hamas leaders that PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and his Fatah party were planning a coup against the Hamas-led government. • Most of the casualties were reported in the Gaza Strip. One person was killed and two were wounded in a battle between Fatah and Hamas Monday night in Rafah, a day after nine people were killed and dozens were injured during heavy fighting between the two parties on Sunday. – 3 Oct 2006 JVIM News

  30. Claiming victory regardless of casualties • YnetNews.com reports: With October becoming the most deadly month for US troops in Iraq in nearly two years, Palestinian preachers in several major mosques in the West Bank and Gaza Strip are celebrating the anti-American violence as a gift from Allah bestowed upon Muslims through prayer during the holy month of Ramadan, according to congregants. – JVIM News 1 Nov 2006
