For detailed information regarding management of patients receiving morphine via the neuraxial route refer to your local hospital policy or procedure. Summary of revisions: • This chart is for morphine only. • Oxygen therapy: space is provided for individualised oxygen delivery instructions. • Yellow or Red Zone clinical care instructions have been revised corresponding to revisions to the SAGO chart. • Observations that to be graphed shown with a round dot • Oxygen device key included on the observation pages. • Motor block assessment has been included on the observation pages: • Hourly assessment until return of motor function • Document “L” for left and “R” for right • If motor function has not returned within 6 hours, contact Acute Pain Service or equivalent medical officer Pain Interest Group Nursing Issues / Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI).
