WORKPLANPhase 1 – Project Start & Setup Duration October 2012 – January 2013 Aim to put in place the organizational and procedural framework in order to guarantee smooth implementation of the research Activities Development of a training package Draft of research procedures and manual for project delivery Training to carers Recruitment of project staff
WORKPLANPhase 2 – Delivery Of Easy Pc Duration: February 2013 – May 2014 Core Activity of the project Recruitment of 120 elderly people involved in each country Baseline assessment for each participant on health, well-being, social participation and identity, and attitudes to computer use. 4 months of training and support each 4 months of follow-up assessment
WORKPLANPhase 3 – Data Analysis Duration: June 2014 – September 2014 All data collected from participants will be analyzed to address the research questions and predictions posed. Data analysis will allow to determine: whether changes / improvements relating to cognitive ability, social participation and well-being are significantly different for our intervention and control groups whether participants in domiciliary settings show greater improvements than residential participants whether our findings hold firm across two different national settings.
WORKPLANPhase 4 – Monitoring and Evaluation Duration: October 2012 – September 2014 Monitoring Aim: to ascertain the achievement of the milestones of the 5 steps of the project. Will follow the entire project, in order to make sure the various phases are implemented in a timely way and as anticipated. Object: design and preparation of materials; recruitment of participants; data treatment; results delivery; measures to ensure ownership and scale. WORKPLANPhase 4 – Monitoring and Evaluation Duration: October 2012 – September 2014 Evaluation Aims: ensure the credibility of the study component of AGES 2.0; explore transferability, cost-effectiveness, and feasibility of the Easy PC instrument; understand the degree of transferability and scaling up of the project; assess the innovativeness of the model. Object: merits and implementation of the study; cost-effectiveness analysis; transferability and up-scaling; feasibility Intermediate Evaluation Report: September 2013 Final Evaluation Report: September 2014
