What are we doing? • Extensively disciplinary and interdisciplinary research on central political, social, structural, organisational and network level change processes • Organisational, sector, local, regional, national and global levels • Structures and actors
Why are we doing it? Why are we a group? • Individually dealing with interpretation of important transformation processes within established disciplines • On research network level studying transformation processes interdisciplinary • On group level a forum for broader debates and multi level interpretations of transformation • On all levels a basis for external contact and projects and publications
Results and future prospects • Some publications last five years (Norwegian Research Council criteria) • International Journals (including reviews/proceedings) > 22 • Volumes (including published PHD thesis) > 3 (Volume chapters > 7) (Renowned publishers) • National journals > 3 • Research Reports > 7 • Papers prepared for international conferences > 17 • Numerous internet publications, external lectures/presentations, working papers, news paper articles, participation in panels etc… • The distribution of contributions is fairly good across the group, however, especially Hallgeir and Judith (and Beinta, Ove and Dag Magne) are central drivers of group internationalisation in terms of publications and networks. Research reports have been somewhat clustered around the social scientists – providing currently an important basis for acquisition of external projects and publishing projects within “Innoff”
Prospects • Four PHD projects (Lise, Eli, Hans Petter, Anne) • Volume on evaluation research is beeing finalised (Kristin Tornes et al) • Several articles have been accepted/submitted/or are in the process of submission to international/national journals • National volume on structural and political transformation at municipality level has been contracted and heavily involves the social scientists within the group (Turid, Ingunn, Dag Magne, Ove, Lars) • Volume on NGO history (Oskar and Ove)
Projects • New models of collaboration within maritime sector (10 (12) mill. financed by the Research council of Norway). Commencing July 2010 • Studying knowledge transfer on cluster level, strategic multiple alliance level, value chain/work organisation level, as well as interfaces in global production networks (Ove, Dag Magne, Lise, and Judith has expressed interest) • Globalisation research network conference within the research council to be held in Molde, Spring 2011 (already financed by the council) • Application for 1,5 mill. Has been addressed to the regional health care unit within the program Innovation in public sector to study and improve flow of knowledge and cooperation between specialist and other services/professions (Samhandlingsreformen/Innovasjonsmeldingen). • In cooperation with 4 municipalities at upper echelon level)
Challenge • In case of success – how can we muster sufficient resources to meet the challenge?
