Check Content using 5 W’s • Who wrote the pages and are they an expert in the field? (Authority?) • What does the author say the purpose of the site is? (Bias? Written for what audience?) • Where does the information come from? (Citations?) • When was it created or last updated? (Dates?) • Why is the information useful for my purposes? Triangulation source Credible Information Triangulation is also a good strategy for increasing the likelihood that the content is credible. Triangulation means verifying the information using multiple sources rather than just one source. source source
