1. FIRE MEDICAL EMERGENCY EVACUATION PREVENTION MEASURE Raise alarm: • Call for help → - Firemen : direct line red phone near first-aid box, corridor 700 - Emergency number 112 • Give the exact place of the fire and your position(Laboratoire de GénieÉlectrique de Paris, room) DO NOT HANG DOWN THE PHONE FIRST ! • Sendrepresentatives to the entranceof the laboratory to guide the emergency services in • Fight the fire using provided devices (extinguishers, etc.) only if safe to do so On hearing the fire alarm : • Keep calm • Switch off working equipment • Turn off all gas supply (compressed air, hydrogen, oxygen, etc.) • Closedoor and windows on leaving LEAVE BUILDING BY THE NEAREST FIRE EXIT • In smoke, bend down : the fresh air is nearer to the floor • Do not go back into a room • Report to the assembly point in front of the laboratory • Do not re-enter the building without having been given permission to do so IN THE EVENT OF AN IMPOSSIBLE BUILDING EVACUATION, GO INTO ONE ROOM AND SHUT YOURSELF IN, DRAUGHT-PROOF THE DOOR AND SHOW YOURSELF AT THE WINDOW • Take if necessary the injured person(s) to asafe place • Alert the nearest first-aider • Call for help → - Firemen : direct line red phone near first-aid box, corridor 700 - Emergency number112 • Be precise as to : - the location of the incident (Laboratoire de Génie Électrique de Paris, room) - the number of casualties - the nature of the emergency (illness, cuts, burns, electrification etc..) - the status of casualties - the first aid given to the casualties - your phone number DO NOT HANG DOWN THE PHONE FIRST ! • Sendrepresentatives to the entranceof the campus and the building to guide the emergency services in • Warn the occupational medicine • Do not obstruct emergency exits, gangways, corridors • Leave open access to fire extinguishers, fire blankets and emergency water hoses • Do not obstruct the closing of internal doors and fire doors • Close all doors and windows each time you leave the building • Follow the particular instructions for the use of equipment or an operation • Follow the procedure of noting all incidents in the working environment, however minor • Inform the ACMO of all accidents or incidents FIRE EXTINGUISHERS A B B ABC Foam spray CO2 Powder For use on wood, paper, textiles and flammable liquids For use on flammable liquids For use on all types of fires
