Media ProjectResponse To The Brief By Lyle Matheson Ryan Dowie Jake Macdonald
What its about • Our Project is a Website for teenagers. It would be a Social Network were they can chat, create Groups and start Events. • It would be customizable unlike other social network sites. This would make the customer able to show what they like and can change it to make it there own.
Why a Website? • We have chosen to use a website since its easy to update quickly. It is also easier to provide unlike a newspaper were you have to pay. It can be managed by one person if need be and anyone can make a page about a subject of there choice.
Availability • The website would be easy to access. You could use a Computer, iPod, iPhone. There would be different versions for Computer and iPod so its easier to use. We could use an app for the iPod. This will help as they wont have access to a Computer or Laptop so it can be accessed from any area.
Target Audience • Our target audience would be teenagers. They could check for upcoming events on the island. It would also show groups and places they can go. We have decided this as our target audience because they are the people that will use a Social Network the most.
Features Our website would have links to videos of prior events and main areas in the town. Sign up would be easy. Enter email and a password and then wait till it is checked by an Administrator. It will have a Private Chat feature and a public chat feature for group discussions.
Backgrounds • A user can change the background for there site. This will allow people to change around things on there website page to make it personal. They will want to make it personal since they will be the one on it the most or maybe to show there intrests.
That concludes out PowerPoint • Thanks to : • Jake MacDonald ( designer ) • Lyle Matheson (project coordinator ) • Ryan dowie ( researcher and developer )
