SMART GOAL • The percentage of Special Education students who score at mastery or above on WESTEST 2 and APTA in reading and math will increase by at least 10% as evidenced on the 2014 WESTEST 2 and APTA assessments. RLA 17.82 Math 19.51
Where is the Special Education student being served? • 80% of SWD are taught in the General Education Environment • 1033 are LD (learning disabled) • 894 are CD (speech only) • 303 are Gifted (don’t count towards Spec ed sub) • 293 are MM (mildly impaired) • 202 are AU (autistic) • 162 are BD (emotionally or behaviorally disabled • 154 are PS (preschool special needs) • 84 are MD or MS (moderately or severely impaired) • 24 are HI (hearing impaired) • 14 are VI (visually impaired)
