  1. USPS Updates September 2010

  2. USPSCN / BIOSCN • BIOSCN can now require that the employee number and social security number be different • The ability to automatically default the employee number based on the following parameters has also been added • Number of letters from last name • Starting increment • Number to increment by • These are the same parameters available in MASCHG/MASID

  3. USPSCN/BIOSCN The employee number defaulting behavior and the requirement that the SSN and employee number differ are controlled by EMPIDS_PREFS.INI file to be placed in each districts OECN$DTA directory This is important for ITC’s to note as the default behavior of the application is to require the SSN and employee number differ In order to override this behavior ITCs will need to copy a version of EMPIDS_PREFS.INI to each district’s OECN$DTA directory previous to installing the September release

  4. MASCHG/CHGEMPID CHGEMPID will now accept a properly formatted CSV file as a means to load employee numbers This CSV file will allow the loading of employee numbers that do not conform to the MASCHG/MASID parameters Previously this could only be done via a foreign command and required ITC intervention

  5. General: Command Procedures Previously SSDT supported command procedures that required the sending of e-mail relied on PMDF being installed This was a problem for some ITCs that did not wish to continue licensing this product This requirement has been removed and the procedures utilize a new Java based solution to send e-mail

  6. USPLOAD • Added the ability to load all modifiable fields that were missing from various USPLOAD programs • This update warranted modifications to the following USPLOAD sub-programs • BIOSCN • JOBSCN • DEDNAM • DEDSCN • ATDSCN • PAYSCN

  7. USPLOAD USPLOAD has been updated so that the USPLOAD header names match the names returned by Safari ODBC whenever possible

  8. USPSWEB Attendance A new identifier is available OECN_USPS_ATTEND If assigned it will allow users access to the attendance entry areas of the web application only without further USPS identifiers being necessary

  9. USPSWEB Employee Dates Two new identifiers USPS_DATES and USPS_DATES_RO are available If assigned users will have full (USPS_DATES) access or read only access (USPS_DATES_RO) to the employee date tracking sections of the web application without further USPS identifiers being necessary

  10. USPS EMIS Related Updates

  11. USPSWEB CC and CJ Records The ability to add and maintain the CC and CJ records has been added to the USPS web application The CJ records have been added to the existing EMIS Entry Screen as they correlate to existing job records The CC records are maintained on their own screen Access to both CC and CJ records is controlled by the OECN_USPS_EMIS identifier

  12. USPSWEB CC Query

  13. USPSWEB CC Record Maintenance

  14. USPSWEB CJ Maintenance

  15. USPEMS/PERDET Validations for the new CC and CJ records have been added to the PERDET report

  16. USPEMS / USPEMX USPEMX has been updated to extract CC, CJ, and CL records CL records will be extracted into their own SEQ file and are created based on all jobs having a position status of U and a separation date after the last day of the previous school year, but before the first day of the current school year Two new prompts asking for these dates have been added to USPEMX

  17. CK240 Certificate / License Application Removed • The Certificate / License application field (CK240) is no longer a valid EMIS reporting element and has been removed from USPS • This element was removed from the following USPS applications • USPSCN/JOBSCN • PERDET • USPEMX • USPCHG
