  1. 5 “You younger men, likewise, be subject to {your} elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE. 6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, 7 casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.” I Peter 5:5-7

  2. I Peter 5:5-7 • Introduction -Many people have been told that God cares for them and loves them, yet they do not see or feel that care and love -Today we will endeavor to look at the word of God to see the care that God provides for us all

  3. I Peter 5:5-7 • God Cares In Asking For Our Cares -God knows what we are going through in life and wants to help us each day (I Pet. 5:7; Psalm 55:22) - We need to learn to rely on the Lord for His help in blessing us with our needs (Mt. 6:25-34)

  4. I Peter 5:5-7 • God Cares In Offering His Son To Die -Some of the most beautiful passages describe God’s love in giving Jesus to die for the sins of the world (Jn. 3:16; Rom. 5:8) -When God gave His Son, it was for “everyone”(Heb. 2:9)

  5. I Peter 5:5-7 • God Cares In Sending The Gospel -Gospel simply means, “good news” or “glad tidings” and its message brings hope to the lost (Rom. 1:15-17; 10:8-17) -The gospel describes God’s care for man in the scheme of redemption (I Cor. 15:1-11; Acts 10:34-43 Tit. 1:1-4; I Tim. 1:8-11)

  6. I Peter 5:5-7 • God Cares In Desiring All To Be Saved -God gave His Son to die so that all could live through Him (I Tim. 2:4; II Pet. 3:9) - “Whoever” is willing to come to the Lord in humble submission can be saved from their sins (Mk. 8:34-38; Rev. 22:17; Mt. 11:28-30; John 5:39f)

  7. I Peter 5:5-7 • Application - God has asked for our cares while giving us an answer for our anxieties in His Son in offering salvation to all through the gospel - You need to put your hope and trust in God every day of your life knowing that “He cares for you”(Psalm 8:4)

  8. I Peter 5:5-7 • Be Saved And Accept God’s Care - Hear Jn. 12:48 - Believe Jn. 8:24 - Repent Lk. 13:3-5 - Confess Matt. 10:32-33 - Baptism Mk. 16:16 YOU ARE SAVED FROM SIN - Faithful Matt. 24:13
