PROJECT OBJECTIVE: • ‘To mitigate and adapt to the effects of tidal waves through • Establishment of mangrove forest (pro environment) • To address the negative impact of the tidal waves on the • Fishermen community in the north of Pekalongan (3450 HHs) • By the year 2016 (pro-poor) • To increase the fishery industry by stimulating local investment • In fish farming combined with tourism value-added activities • (pro-growth and pro-job) Major activity: To relocate and provide flood proof combined housing units including settlement (housing & Economic) infrastructure by year 2016
Option for financing and implementation: • propose the project as a CC plan with strong pro-poor components • Private sector involvement for jobs and growth • National and local government budgets • PPP on fishery and tourism industry • Bank
