AO-corrected PSF for IRMOS • Two FITS files • psf_corrected.fits • Tomography and fitting PSF – no tip/tilt error • 8 LGS (5+3) constellation • psf_corrected_25masTipTiltBlurred.fits • Blurred by convolving with 25mas Gaussian • 25 mas is Richard Clare’s typical value for tip/tilt rms error at 90% sky coverage (either multiple tip/tilt stars or one tip/tilt/focus star) • These are 128x128x3 data cubes • one psf for each of 3 science positions in the 5 arcmin diameter field • scale = 4.256 milliarcsec / pixel • Simulation Parameters: • Cerro Pachon Cn2 profile • r0= 16 cm • Science wavelength = 1.238mm (center of J band) • 90km laser guide star cone beams • Includes Tomographic and DM fitting error for 100 subaps across
8 Laser Guide Star Constellation Laser guide stars * Science targets + Tip/Tilt stars • 5 LGS at 150 arcsec radius • 3 LGs at 75 arcsec radius • Science evaluation directions at 0, 75, and 150 arcsec
