Euclid • Probably no results in The Elements were first proved by Euclid but the organisation of the material and its exposition are due to him. • In fact there is an evidence that Euclid is using earlier textbook as he writes The Element since he introduces quite a number of defenions which are never used such that oblong, a rhombus, and a rhomboid.
