The Idea of our Business Main idea: • photo shoots with self-made dresses and decoration of the background and settings • Work on the customers’ demands (decoration, dresses, shooting set) Sub ideas: • Single interior decoration service • Single dress making service (on customer’s demands) • taking pictures for passports and portraits

Personal Aspects Our abilities? • dress maker, photographer, two interior decorators • 3 years apprenticeship each of us • journeymen(2) and master diplomer(2) • Got the qualifications as an “assistant production manager” • our skills are perfectly fitting together, especially because of their creative aspects

  5. Personal Aspects Family/Personal support? • all not in a relationship • free to go wherever we want • The Family will support us wherever we go • Friends are helping us • Finding new friends in Finland

Personal Aspects Able to move to/ live in Finland? • In the beginning maybe it is hard without good friends and family • We are open minded and we will find new friends in Finland • dream of us since we were there few years ago • In the marketing line we mostly use the English language • to talk with customers we are learning the Finnish language  Important to become integrated

  8. Personal Aspects Sure of working together? • Since four years we know each other very well • On special events we already worked together. • Our different characters are the perfect combination • Working together but specialized in various sectors

Location analysis Valkeakoski: • Population: 22.500 inhabitants • Language: Finnish. some people are speaking English • Rent for salesrooms: 80m² ca. 600,00 € • Infrastructure: good (public transport) • Next cities: Tampere (212.000 Inhabitants), ca 35km away Helsinki (586.000 Inhabitants), ca. 150 km away • Target group: inhabitants of Valkeakoski and the area around, big companies and firms

  10. Local Analysis Competitors: • 1 store for sewing machines (the owner is also working with leather products) • 2 self-employed dress makers • 2 specialists for wallpapers and floors, they also offer mounting • 2 photographer shops making passports or portraits (also selling equipment)

Local Analysis Infrastructure: • Small shopping mall in the city centre (Supermarket, Alko, Fashion Stores, Fast Food Restaurant) • Supermarkets around the city • Big Shopping Mall near Tampere Schools: • Class 1-6: in the city centre from Valkeakosi • Class 7-9: two schools, one in the city centre and the other outside Vocational school: • A bit outside, by car ca. 5 min. • Universities: Valkeakoski, Tampere, Helsinki, etc.  good education system (future aspects)

Local Analysis • On account of our analysis  we found out there is no other company in Valkeakoski like ours. Just small shops, who are specializing in some of our professions • By starting up our company  created a concept including various works like shooting portraits, marketing shoots for catalogues or websites, or private shootings for calendars. • The countryside and the special weather conditions a perfectly to create beautiful settings

Legal Aspects • To build up a “OY” in Finland we need 2.500,00 € capital investment minimal • The final investment is variable • it depends on business equipment, rent for salesrooms, machines and other technical instruments (Fleet) • Building an “Oy”: - modern form of company - especially if you have a strong grown intention and work with many different clients. • Building a “T:mi” - is no good alternative - to start up our business we need high investment and we are not just selling our own products - it is business combination of services and crafts

SWOT - Analysis • Strengths • full services for photo shoots • we can also split our work and can fulfil different tasks at the same time • 4 powerful, strong women • good German instruction(3 years) • further education in business • completely work on the customers demand • most of our equipment we can repair on our own Weaknesses • Language Problems with Finnish in the beginning • we are depending on the customers demands • expensive equipment • Opportunities • Internet presentations • Opening a shop and Expansion • To take on employees • Earn enough money to live very well • Threats • Competition with other companies • Not finding enough costumers and get bankrupt • Get into an argumentation among us • If one wants to spot working in this working constellation

  15. Financial Aspects To start up we need - Minimal 2.500,00 € • Some equipment investments • Funding for new housing (subsistence ca 1.600,00 € pro person a month) • Funding for the trip to Finland  20.600,00 € personal start-up capital

  16. Final Conclusion Results: • there is no other company as ours in the area round Valkeakoski. • Our three different professions are not in direct competition with the surrounding self-employees • A great chance for our firm to be established in Valkeakoski durable
