  2. What is EMATEM ? EMATEM is a non-profit society EMATEM was founded in Berlin, February 2003 EMATEM Statues (Preamble) EMATEM serves the promotion of free exchange of scientific information and research in the field of thermal energy measurement. Public information systems, such as the internet as well as international seminars shall be provided. Scientific- technical developments shall be initiated and realised within the scope of scientific cooperations. A discussion platform shall be set up to promote harmonised conformity assessment procedures.

Organs of EMATEM: Executive Committee Adunka (BEV), Lederer (PTB), Jensen (delta) Duties: 1 to prepare and chair the meeting of the Executive Committee , Advisory Board and the General Assembly and to draw up the agenda, 2 to summon the Advisory Board and the General Assembly, 3 to execute the decisions taken by the Advisory Board and the General Assembly, 4 to construct, update and maintain of the EMATEM Website, and to organise the international workshops and seminars. 5 to establish the budget for every fiscal year, 6 to present the Society’s annual statement of accounts on the occasion of an ordinary meeting of the Advisory Board and an ordinary meeting of the General Assembly, 7 to conclude and cancel employment contracts for full-time members to perform the Society’s tasks

  6. Organs of EMATEM: Advisory board Mattiasson (SP), Kaelin succ. (METAS), Lind (Justervesenet) Duties: (1) TheAdvisory Board is elected by the General Assembly and consists of at least 4 and maximally of 15 members. The Advisory Board is composed exclusively of National Metrology Institutes, the prospective Notified Bodies or comparable independent institutions which are members of EMATEM. (2) … (3) The following tasks come within the competence of the Advisory Board: 1 adoption of the budget drawn up by the Executive Committee for the next fiscal year, 2 acceptance of the annual report of the Executive Committee, 3 election and removal of the members of the Executive Committee 4 formal approval of the actions of the Executive Committee, 5 adoption of resolutions concerning an amendment to the Statutes, 6 appointment of natural persons as honorary members 7 decisions on general policy matters.   7. Membership is free Organs of EMATEM: General Assembly (1) Every member has one vote in the General Assembly and may authorise another member in writing to execute the voting right on his behalf. Authorisation is to be given separately for each meeting. (2) The following tasks come within the competence of the General Assembly: 1 election of the Advisory Board 2 acceptance of the report of the Executive Committee 3 preparation of recommendations to the Executive Committee 4 proposal for topics for international workshops and seminars 5 fixing of the amount and due date of the membership fees 6 adoption of resolutions concerning the dissolution of the Society 7 appointment of natural persons as honorary members.
